Fleishman Job Analysis Survey® (F-JAS)
Focusing largely on the theory that the best way to analyze a job is in terms of the personal characteristics and traits required of the incumbents, the Fleishman Job Analysis Survey (F-JAS) was developed. The F-JAS model is a technique of job analysis that describes jobs from the point of view of the necessary capacities. It includes 52 cognitive, physical, psycho-motor, and sensory abilities. The system is based on Fleishman’s Taxonomy of Human Abilities, Fleishman’s taxonomies of knowledge and social-interpersonal attributes, and SkillsNET’s taxonomy of skills.
