  Langston University sponsored week-end workshop for Small Business Development

Langston University, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, SkillsNET Corporation and Tulsa Economic Development Corporation sponsored a one day seminar/workshop this past Saturday at the Langston-OSU/Tulsa campus. The purpose of the event was to assist small and start-up businesses. A total of 31 participated in the workshop. Eleven of the students in attendance are Langston University seniors. The students and volunteer consultants assisted the participants in plan development. The business plans were developed for businesses as diverse as swimming pool supplier to retail consignment shop or youth counseling to health food store.

Dr. R. Henry Migliore was the professor for the Langston course was seminar director. This is the 10th year Langston University has offered this week-end Small Business course and community workshop.
