Germany to convert OccuProfiler™ to native language and profile key occupations. WAXAHACHIE, TX February 12, 2008 - SkillsNET announced today its’ Germany partners received funding from the Germany Career Technical Education (CTE) authorized body to convert the popular OccuProfiler™ tool to its native German language. SkillsNET’s partner, Koordinierungsstelle Weiterbildung und Beschäftigung e. V (KBE) will lead the effort with assistance from leading executives from Airbus, SAAB, Bundesinstitut fur Berufsbildung (BiBB), and National Teacher and Training (TT) associations. KBE (www.kbe.de) and BiBB (www.bibb.de/en/index.htm) selected OccuProfiler to build job / occupational profiles after one year due diligence. “Germany’s dual VET system has its’ own set of unique challenges when building and sharing job content” said Dierk Ladendorff, project leader. “SkillsNET’s OccuProfiler is the best solution to provide accurate and current job content. Further and perhaps as important, we feel the SkillsNET system will give Germany an advantage over other EU Members as they attempt to align job skills with the emerging Education Qualification Framework (EQF).” “We are excited about the opportunity to provide OccuProfiler in the German language and believe it is another testimony to its easy but powerful capability to manage large scale job profile projects” said Michael Brown, SkillsNET CEO. “The profiler was designed with industry and education of all sizes in mind and its’ web-based delivery can be deployed in a few days.” Soon, thousands of employers and educators will be using OccuProfiler to profile jobs and provide education with a standardized task, skills and ability framework. Standardization will help elevate the German VET system to world class status. Contact SkillsNET today to learn more about the Germany rollout and or to determine if the system can help with a specific enterprise requirement.About SkillsNET
