SkillsNET® Releases iDAP 2.0 to support Training and Human Systems Integration (HSI) Utilization WAXAHACHIE, TX September 19, 2006 - SkillsNET recently released iDAP 2.0. The iDAP (integrated Data Assurance Process) tool consists of functionality and data that allows the user to access and manage Job, Training, and system design Analysis data using the SkillsNET SkillObjects® technology. The SkillObject® Technology is a Patent Pending technology that incorporates validated scientific processes to support computer based Job and Training Analysis efforts. With Version 2.0 of iDAP, SkillsNET enters the realm of Human Systems Integration (HIS) by including a set of HSI related data elements. In doing so, SkillsNET has created a data space for HSI information to reside, ensuring an authoritative, authenticated information source with which to work. Since the HSI data are related to Job Analysis data in the iDAP tool, their efforts can leverage these data in the decision making processes. The field of Human Systems Integration deals with the integration of the human domains such as manpower, personnel, training, human factors, system safety, environment, occupational health, and habitability in order to improve the performance of systems used for work. The iDAP is a tool that HSI personnel can leverage not only as an authoritative data source, but also as a source of definitive relationships between the HSI and Job Analysis data. These relationships allow the HSI personnel to be cognizant of current job force capabilities and training needs, providing an accurate view of the Human elements of HSI. This provides increased workforce related information to the Systems related decision making processes. It can also drive future training needs based on the Systems under development, shortening the development lifecycle of a System by allowing Systems acquisition and training to run in parallel. Future versions of iDAP will continue to integrate HSI data, further increasing the utility of iDAP for HSI purposes. "Developing HSI as a practice is difficult and risky, and getting the various domains to work together is a challenge; but we have enjoyed providing them with the solutions needed to resolve the ongoing engineering issues facing them daily", said SkillsNET's President of Human Systems Integration Dr. Jennifer Narkevicius.
