SkillsNET® Appoints Ms. Joan L. Wills to the Technical Advisory Board

WAXAHACHIE, TX September 9, 2006 -

SkillsNET Enterprises, LTD. is proud to announce the appointment of a new Technical Advisory Board member, Ms. Joan L. Wills. Ms. Wills holds the position of Director of the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) of the Institute for Educational Leadership. As director, she focuses on the "development and improvement of employment-related learning systems" according to the IEL website. This focus is inline with the IEL's mission which is to improve education -- and the lives of children and their families -- through positive and visionary change.

Ms Wills comes to SkillsNET with a profound background in career education, skill standards, and school-to-work initiatives at local, state, and national levels. In addition to her vast experience in leadership roles in both government and non-profit, she has authored multiple publications focused on transition issues, literacy and occupational skill standards.

Ms. Wills currently serves as member of the National Work Readiness Board, Athena Alliance, and the National Skills Standards Board Institute. Previously, Ms. Wills held various memberships, advisor, and chair positions with other organizations such as, National School Boards Association, National Youth Employment Coalition, National Urban League, National Center on the Educational Quality of the Workforce, Commission for Employment and Unemployment Statistics, board of the Corporation for Enterprise Development, American Council on Education's Commission on Education Credit and Credentials, the National Vocational-Technical Education Honor Society, the Workforce Excellence Board, the Development Training Institute, Youthwork, Inc., National Child Labor Committee and U.S. Basics.
