SkillsNET® and Bluedrop Performance Learning form Partnership to Enhance Canadian Reserves

WAXAHACHIE, TX August 21, 2006 -

SkillsNET and Bluedrop, a Canadian based e-learning company and government contractor, have joined hands to provide the Canadian Forces with tools that will promote their push toward a Human Capital Management approach in the future.  Through the use of SkillsNET's Job Profiler Career Builder and Skills Yellow PagesT tools, the Canadian military will be able to electronically collect the civilian skills and abilities of its Reservists, then conduct searches for individuals based on that data.  "These tools have been critical to the success and growth of the United States Navy Reserves, and we look forward to seeing them do the same with Canada", Michael Brown, SkillsNET's founder and CEO.

Currently, the Canadian Forces have no electronic means to identify their Reservists' civilian skills and abilities.  However, the Government of Canada is committed to enhancing the capability and size of its military, and initiatives have been set in place to emphasize Human Capital Management's central role in building and fielding the forces they need for the future.   Implementation of SkillsNET's innovative tools is a pivotal step in the evolution of Human Capital Management within the Canadian Reserves.

About SkillsNET
SkillsNET provides a revolutionary tool suite and consulting service, which allows enterprises to rapidly capture work, worker, and workplace skill data elements (SkillObjects®) and their relationship to performance. The SkillsNET methodology allows employers to capture their workforce environment through web-based applications with minimal worker and capital investment. Highly trained Skills Analysts and Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, available on-site or via phone, assist the employee and employer through the data collection process. At the end of the process, employers receive a detailed analysis of the skill base required in their workforce, the level of skill in the current workforce, and the performance standards needed to operate in today's dynamic environment. SkillsNET methodology is aligned with the Department of Labor O*NET taxonomy. For additional information please visit www.skillsnet.com.
