SkillsNET® and Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Integrate SkillObjects® into SCORM/S1000D

WAXAHACHIE, TX July 20, 2006 -

The ADL Job Performance Technology Center (JPTC) announced during the S1000D/SCORM Testbed initiative that SkillsNET will join an international team to begin the integration of SkillObjects into the S1000D/SCORM frameworks. This partnership will advance the research and development in, and implementation of, job performance technologies across the DoD, as well as create a bridge between online learning content and technical data.

The ADL recently held an event called PerformanceFest 2006 in which integration and implementation of standards based new technologies was the central theme. SkillsNET was represented by Dr. Jill Strange, as she took part in a presentation introducing the logistics behind integrating SkillObjects with S1000D and SCORM. SkillsNET's involvement benefits ADL by giving them a source for high-fidelity occupational skills that will enable them to build a framework that allows for better training content.

About SkillsNET
SkillsNET provides a revolutionary tool suite and consulting service, which allows enterprises to rapidly capture work, worker, and workplace skill data elements (SkillObjects®) and their relationship to performance. The SkillsNET methodology allows employers to capture their workforce environment through web-based applications with minimal worker and capital investment. Highly trained Skills Analysts and Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, available on-site or via phone, assist the employee and employer through the data collection process. At the end of the process, employers receive a detailed analysis of the skill base required in their workforce, the level of skill in the current workforce, and the performance standards needed to operate in today's dynamic environment. SkillsNET methodology is aligned with the Department of Labor O*NET taxonomy. For additional information please visit www.skillsnet.com.
