SkillsNET® to Sponsor Community of Interest Sessions at SIOP Annual Conference in Dallas

SkillsNET will be the sole sponsor of all Community of Interest sessions at the 2006 Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) annual conference, according to Michael Brown, SkillsNET Founder and CEO. The conference is scheduled for May 5-7 at the Adam's Mark Hotel, Dallas, Texas.

The eleven sessions - eight scheduled with facilitators and three set aside for "emerging topics" - are scheduled over two days and will be attended by professionals in the I/O (Industrial and Organizational) industry from all over the world. SIOP's annual conference is the year's largest national gathering of I/O devotees who share a common interest in promoting, researching and raising awareness of the science of human behaviors in the workplace.

Topics and facilitators for sessions on Friday, May 5th include "Issues in Item Response Theory", Stephen Stark and Oleksandr Chernyshenko; "Justice", Robert G. Folger; and "Assessment Centers for Multiple Purposes: Prediction, Diagnosis, and Development", George C. Thornton.

On Saturday May 6th, sessions include "New OFCCP Rules on Internet Job Applicants", Doug Reynolds; "Executive Assessment and Selection", Richard P. Jeanneret and Robert Silzer; "Test-Score Banding", Herman Aguinis; "Leadership Talent Management", Ben E. Dowell and Robert Silzer; and "Theory Development", Katherine Klein.

A SkillsNET display booth will be at the conference to provide a backdrop for product demonstrations and an impact movie. Company brochures and promotional items will be given away to attendees, along with two iPod Nanos and one Job Analysis using SkillsNET's patented process of creating SkillObjects®.
