SkillsNET Releases Revolutionary Metrics
Solution to Improve Workforce Development and Planning
SkillsNET Corporation announces the release of version 1.1 of the SkillsNET Metrics Suite, a comprehensive set of scientifically engineered algorithms that use job data to address organizational human resource and workforce analysis issues. According to SkillsNET CEO Michael Brown, the introduction of metrics now provides human resource departments with the most scientific and state-of-the-art method today of taking large amounts of available job data and applying mathematical formulas specifically designed to meet the informational needs of HR professionals within any workplace. "By using our existing set of metric groupings or creating new metrics for an organization, we can provide human resource professionals everywhere with the ability to transform job analysis data into manageable and easily interpretable components" Brown stated. Those components could then be used to make crucial workforce decisions such as determining promotions, ascertaining needed training and filling job openings with the best candidates within the organization. He explained that SkillsNET's certified Skills Analysts use a four-step process to create metrics. "First the decision must be made what HR questions need to be addressed. Then, a detailed list of metric components is developed after a thorough literature search is conducted. That list is then used to develop the initial algorithm for the metric, which then goes through a revision process to ensure the output of the algorithm effectively addresses the specific HR question." SkillsNET began creation of workforce analysis metrics in 2003 primarily in response to the need to conduct complicated analysis of job information at a lower overall cost to organizations as well as effectively utilize large amounts of job data.
